Brett Jacobsen
Brett likes to say that he started his building career at age eight. He spent summers with his Italian carpenter grandfather, Dominic Sernotti, and served as his “gofer.” He served under a great teacher.
Dominic was a meticulous craftsman in the artisan tradition of Italy. Pay attention to details. Use the best materials. Always choose quality over quantity.
Brett attended Tulane with the plan of becoming a doctor. Unfortunately these hopes were thwarted by financial considerations.
In the early 2000 teens, he took up his carpentry tools again and began building for friends and neighbors. Projects like room additions and garage conversions established a reputation for quality and professionalism.
Brett is married to Trang. They have two children of their own and Brett’s daughter from an earlier marriage.
