Custom Means Custom

Custom Building with Concrete
A JCB client was visiting the Middle East when he saw a circular staircase that blew him away.
He snapped several pictures and when he returned to Florida, he showed them to Brett.
"I want that staircase in my house," he said unequivocally.
Brett saw right away that:
- The only way to recreate the staircase was with concrete. Maybe 45 yards. About 90 tons. Five truckloads in a single day.
- Plus the house was newly refinished and furnished. And occupied!
- AND the owners wanted to use the house during the creation of the circular stairway.
Brett took a breath and said:
"We can do that."

Making the Impossible Happen in an Occupied House
A floor plan rendering of the stairs when it was just a dream.

Floating concrete staircase requires first and foremost the finest carpentry. Brett's guys are the best. They built a wooden structure that supported 45 yards of concrete in one continuous pour.
"Your guys have got to be the best."
The frame collapses and there is 45 cubic yards of concrete in the middle of a furnished house. Too horrible to think about!.

The forms are gone, and 45 yards of concrete now float like a dream—smooth, seamless, and gleaming like polished marble.

Finished!
Add a banister - corrosion resistant aluminum made to look like wrought iron.
Add a stair runner.
The stairway is now the essence of the space.
